Cancun is second Hawaii, but local people speak SPANISH. In travel resort most people can speak English. Recommend book tours before departure or in local 4 or 5 star hotel. Otherwise language will be problem. Lots of Thieves. Need to take care of your bag. Always keep the valuable things and money with you. Locals will take touches or any small things they think useful.
